We’re pleased to announce the very first Material Topics Silent Auction! We’ve received one of kind, limited edition items for the Symposium attendees to enjoy, and add to their personal collections. The lineup of silent auction items range from books to one of a kind artwork, to handmade tools. Tim McCreight, the Enamel Arts Foundation, Velvet da Vinci, and other publishers have donated autographed copies of some their most popular books, some of which are out of print.

Also included in the auction are handmade tools by the talented Nash Quinn & Tim Lazure as well as Rio Grande.

Additionally we will have a number of unique artwork from our esteemed presenters past and present, graduate students, and faculty. The resident artists from Pocosin Arts as well as the graduate cohort at Virginia Commonwealth University have also contributed some outstanding one of a kind work.

The silent auction will be hosted in the foyer of the Gray Gallery with a preview of all the items Friday night. Official bidding will begin Saturday morning at 8:30 AM and conclude Sunday at 1:55 PM sharpPayment times will be from Sunday 4:00-4:30 PM  and 6:00-6:30 PM after our capstone Harlan W. Butt.

Some items will have a starting bid ranging from $50 or more, with a $5 minimum raising bid. Cash, check, and card are accepted. Please note that card purchases will include a 2.7% processing fee added to your winning bid.
